Steve Yenser

Retail Leasing & Asset Management

As Executive Vice President of Retail Leasing & Asset Management, Steve oversees Cousins retail leasing and asset management operations. He was promoted to this position in December 2008 following his role as Senior Vice President in charge of operations for all of Cousins retail properties. Previously, Steve served as Senior Vice President of Leasing for the Retail Division. In this role, he led all retail leasing activity, including legal and tenant construction oversight.
Yenser’s leadership in recruiting talent and managing resources across all aspects of the organization has been instrumental in orchestrating the rapid growth within Cousin’s Retail group since he joined Cousins in 2002.
Prior to joining Cousins, Yenser spent 16 years with General Growth Properties (GGP), the nation’s second largest shopping center development company, holding a variety of positions in leasing, management and marketing. Prior to leaving GGP, he held the position of Senior Vice President, Asset Management for the company’s eastern region, which included total responsibility for thirty regional shopping centers. During his tenure at GGP, Yenser earned both the Chairman’s Award and Founder’s Award, the company’s top two achievement awards.
Before GGP, Yenser played professional baseball with the Montreal Expos organization from 1981 – 1984. As a pitcher, he progressed to Montreal’s AA minor league organization before an elbow injury ended his career.

Memberships and Civic Involvement: Steve serves on the Executive Board of Directors for
the Northwest Atlanta Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), as well as the fundraising
steering committee for the Kennesaw State University athletic department.
